Cut each breast in half parallel to the table and season each side
Heat a tablespoon of vegetable oil on high heat and add the chicken once oil is hot
Sear both sides for about 1-2 minutes each
Add broth, half the butter, plenty of pepper, and a juiced lemon
Put in oven at 235 F for 12 minutes
Take out the chicken and put the heat on high for a few minutes to let the sauce reduce
Reduce heat to medium and add the broccoli and butter
Cook to desired broccoli consistency and add garlic 1 minute before finish
Creamy Garlic Chicken
Ingredients:
1 cup of heavy cream
2 cups of chicken broth
1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
Half an onion
Quarter of a stick of butter
Flour
2 chicken breasts
4 garlic cloves
Half of an onion
Parmesan
Black pepper
Salt
Steps:
Cut each breast in half parallel to the table and season each side
Dip each piece in a flour parmesan mixture
Heat a tablespoon of vegetable oil on medium high heat and add the chicken once oil is hot
Cook both sides for about 3-4 minutes each
Take the chicken out and sautee the onion in the same pan for 2 minutes (chopped to preferred size)
Add 2 sliced cloves of garlic and 2 chopped cloves of garlic and cook another 30 seconds
Add cream, broth, butter, parmesan, and black pepper
Reduce the heat to medium-low and the chicken back
Cook until chicken is done (about 3-4 minutes), making sure to baste both sides
Bolognese
Ingredients:
Half an onion
2 stalks of celery
3 carrots
8 slices of bacon
1 stick of butter
1 lb of ground beef
9 oz tomato paste
4 cups beef stock
3 cloves of garlic
2 boxes of penne
Black pepper
Salt
Garlic powder
Steps (should all be done in one pot):
Mince all the vegetables
Cut bacon into small pieces and cook until slightly crispy
Remove bacon and cook the ground beef in the bacon fat (season and taste as you cook)
Remove the beef and and cook the vegetables in the remaining fat until lightly browned
Reduce the heat and add the beef, bacon, tomato paste, and then broth
Mix well and let simmer
Cook the pasta about 2 minutes less than usual
Add the pasta to the pot with the sauce, add the butter, and cook until al dente
Burgers
Ingredients:
1.5 lbs Ground Beef
Half of an onion
4 cloves of garlic
1 cup barbecue sauce
Black pepper
Salt
Garlic powder
Steps:
Mince all the garlic and combine all the ingredients
Make 4 large patties from the mixture
Cook on grill at 375 F for 3-5 minutes on each side OR on mediume high heat on a stove
Add any desired toppings
Barbecue Chicken
Ingredients:
2 chicken breasts
Barbecue Sauce
1 teaspoon sriracha
Half a cup of water
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Black pepper
Salt
Garlic powder
Steps:
Season both sides of the chicken
Cut each breast into 8 cubes
Heat vegetable oil on medium high and add the chicken cubes
Cook on each side for about 3-4 minutes
Drizzle plenty of barbecue sauce over the chicken, then add the sriracha and water
Cook until the sauce thickens, while stirring every 30 seconds or so
Paprika Chicken
Ingredients:
4 bone-in chicken thighs
Half an onion
6 medium sized potatoes
4 cups of chicken stock
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Black pepper
Salt
Paprika
Garlic powder
Steps:
Heat vegetable oil on high
Season both sides of the chicken and sear on both sides for 2-3 minutes
Remove chicken and season and cook the minced onions on medium
Chop potatoes into 1 inch cubes
Add potatoes and chicken stock, making sure to scrape up any browned bits on the bottom of the pan and incorporating them into the sauce
Add the chicken and season generously with paprika
Bring to a boil and then cover, reduce the heat to low, and let simmmer for 30 minutes
Lemon Garlic Drumsticks
Ingredients:
12 chicken drumsticks
2 lemons
1 tablespoon oregano
1 tablespoon black pepper
1 teaspon Cumin
1 teaspon paprika
10 garlic cloves
1 onion
1/4 cup olive oil
Steps:
Season chicken with salt
Put all the drumsticks in a large bag and add the oil and spices
Massage the spices into the chicken and then juice both lemons into the bag and add the zest of one of them
Chop the onion and garlic and add to the bag and marinate between 30 minutes and 2 hours
Heat the oven to 450F and then arrange the drumsticks on a baking sheet. Pour the rest of the marinade over the chicken.
Bake for 35 minutes.
Stir Fry
Ingredients:
1 chicken breast
1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
1 bag of egg noodles
3 carrots
1 pepper
1 head of Broccoli
2 eggs
Salt
Black Pepper
Garlic Powder
Sauce Ingredients:
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/3 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons of honey
2 teaspoons of sesame oil
1 tablespoon of cornstarch
2 garlic cloves
Red pepper flakes
Steps:
Combine the minced garlic, sesame oil, chicken broth, soy sauce, honey, cornstarch, and red pepper flakes and mix well.
Cut the chicken into small chunks and season both sides with garlic powder, salt, and pepper
Heat the vegetable oil on medium high and add the chicken then cook both sides for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown
Begin boiling the egg noodles in a separate pot
As the noodles are boiling, remove the chicken and sautee the vegetables while seasoning. After about 4-5 minutes add both eggs, and when they are cooked add back the chicken
Add the noodles and while mixing slowly add the sauce
Serve with sesame seeds
Pigs in a Blanket
Ingredients:
4 sausages (preferred kind)
1 tube of Pillsbury croissants
4 slices of cheese (preferred kind)
8 pieces of bacon
Honey Mustard
1 egg
Steps:
Preheat oven to 375
Spread honey mustard on each triangle of the dough
Wrap half a slice of cheese around half a sausage, and then wrap a slice of bacon around that
Wrap in the dough and glaze the top with a whisked egg
Put in the oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden-brown
Honey Glazed Carrots
Ingredients:
4 large carrots
1 teaspoon of brown sugar
2 tablespoons of honey
2 tablespoons of olive oil
Half a cup of water
Salt
Black Pepper
Paprika
Parsley
Steps:
Cut each carrot into 12 pieces so that each one has a flat side
Heat oil on medium high and then put carrots in the pan flat side down
Season with salt, pepper, and paprika and let cook without moving for 5-7 minutes or until the bottom of the carrots begin to blacken.
Add honey, brown sugar, and water and mix the carrots
Cook until the sauce glazes over and serve with parsley
Asian-Style Green Beans
Ingredients:
1 bag of green beans
2 garlic cloves
2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
3 tablespoons of soy sauce
1 teaspoon of sugar
Salt
Black Pepper
Garlic Powder
Steps:
Heat a pan to medium high heat (no oil)
Mix the vegetable oil, soy sauce and sugar in a bowl
Add the green beans to the pan and then add the sauce
Cook for 6-8 minutes adding more sauce as preferred
Add the minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds
Sweet Potato Rings
Ingredients:
4 large sweet potatoes
1 tablespoons of vegetable oil
1 tablespoon of sugar
Salt
Black Pepper
Cinnamon
Steps:
Add oil to a pan and bring to medium high heat
Slice the sweet potatoes into rings and add to the pan
Season top side with salt, pepper, and cinnamon, and flip after 5-7 minutes
Season this side and cook for another 5-7 minutes
Bacon Wrapped Beans
Ingredients:
1 pack of green beans
1 pack of bacon strips
2 tablespoons of brown sugar
Salt
Black Pepper
Steps:
Preheat oven to 350F
Make bundles of about 8 green beans and wrap in bacon
Season with salt and pepper, and then sprinkle the brown sugar over the bundles
Put in the oven and cook for about 20 minutes or until properly browned
